Does CoolSculpting® for Neck Fat Really Work?
Explore the Most Effective Treatments for a Double Chin in Yorkville, Toronto
A double chin or submental fat is a small layer of fat that forms below the chin. It can occur due to a variety of factors such as aging, weight gain, or genetics. Aging can cause a loss of elasticity in the skin, resulting in the appearance of excess skin, contributing to a double chin. Weight gain can also cause or contribute to the appearance of a double chin. Cryolipolysis or CoolSculpting® is a cosmetic treatment that can freeze fat cells on specific areas to make them slimmer or provide a more balanced body shape. Some people refer to this treatment as “Cool Shaping” or “Fat Sculpting.” Neck CoolSculpting® or CoolSculpting® for the chin, which some patients call, “CoolSculpting® for double chin” or “CoolSculpting® for neck” from Toronto’s Dr. Nowell Solish is an effective way to freeze and reduce fat cells between the chin and neck area.

CoolSculpting® Neck Fat: What are the Benefits of CoolSculpting® for Neck Fat?
CoolSculpting® for neck targets the fat below the chin and neck. This is a safe, non-invasive method of improving the appearance of a double chin. CoolSculpting® for neck can target stubborn or resistant fat on this area that is unresponsive to diet and exercise. CoolSculpting® for the neck cools the fat cells to get rid of them and they are eventually absorbed by the body. The cold breaks down the fatty tissue and the fat cells will gradually break down. The surrounding nerves, muscles, and other tissues are not affected. CoolSculpting® for neck fat is ideal for patients who have already reached their ideal weight but have some stubborn fat below the chin. A gel pad and applicator are applied to the chin so that controlled cooling can be delivered to the targeted fat. Most patients only experience minimal discomfort from CoolSculpting® for neck fat, though there may be a slight pinching or pulling sensation.
Saggy or wrinkled skin on the neck is referred to as “turkey neck.” CoolSculpting® for turkey neck isn’t as effective as this treatment only works on fat, so it won’t address loose skin.
