PRP treatment
PRP is a procedure in which patients are treated with their own blood that has been taken and concentrated to be full of platelets. After creating platelet-rich plasma that solution is injected into the target area. It is used either to promote hair growth and slow down loss, as well as improve the texture of facial skin.

It is a common procedure is Dr. Solish’s office. Blood is taken with a small butterfly from your arm, like a normal blood test. It takes approximately 15 minutes to prepare the PRP then it is injected with very fine needles to the treated area.
Most patients will do a series of treatments separated by around one month and then maintenance as needed. There is very little to no downtime with this procedure.

Dr. Nowell Solish
Dr. Solish is a renowned specialist in the field of cosmetic dermatology and dermatologic surgery. He was one of Canada's first cosmetic dermatologists to use injectable BOTOX. Dr. Solish is the Director of Dermatologic Surgery at the University of Toronto. He is also published in peer-reviewed journals, and lectures regularly on dermatologic surgery techniques worldwide.
Patients with minor wrinkling, blotchiness and obvious facial blood vessels can expect good results. Those who have deeper wrinkles and scars will require more treatments.
Each treatment takes about 25 minutes.
Skin will appear flushed right after treatment and capillaries may be more visible. Age spots may also appear slightly darker for a few days after the first treatment. These changes will diminish gradually, however. You will see visible improvement after each treatment.
Many people see an improvement after their first treatment.
Avoid tanning before and after Photorejuvenation treatments as tanning will enhance uneven skin color.
A series of up to 5 treatments at 4 week intervals is recommended for best results. Maintenance treatments twice a year are recommended.
