Hyaluronic acid fillers
Restylane® is one of the most commonly used fillers in the world. There are now over 6 million treatments performed worldwide. Restylane® is a non-allergenic, temporary filler consisting of hyaluronic acid (a natural compound found in all skin cells and connective tissues).
Hyaluronic acid filler works by filling in areas in the skin, like lines and wrinkles. As it starts to breakdown it will attract water molecules that help it keep its shape and allow the area to look good for up to 6 months or more.
These fillers are the safest and most commonly used by doctors. They are most commonly used for augmenting the lips, correcting wrinkles and fine lines, and for plumping up the nasolabial folds (smile lines), or marionette lines.

Now facial re-contouring can be done with the use of hyaluronic acid filler. Instead of getting cheek or chin implants why not try it with a 20-minute office visit. This works great for those who only desire subtle changes to restore lost volume or sagging of the skin, or those with a good skin tone who have always wanted larger or more prominent cheeks or a contoured jawline. Hyaluronic acid filler can easily be injected into those areas.
Hyaluronic acid filler comes in different strengths. It is can be used in very fine lines, like those on the upper lip in its smallest particle size. If lip augmentation is desired, or if wrinkles on the face like smile lines around the mouth, or marionette lines, are to be injected, a slightly thicker version is commonly used. For deeper areas or those who would like facial contouring done, like cheek or chin injections, then a more robust one is usually chosen. Results last on average up to 6 months or longer.
